Why is Medicare Different?
Medicare has very specific rules for chiropractic care. Unlike other insurance, chiropractors are considered “mandatory providers,” which means we cannot opt out or simply give patients a superbill to submit. Medicare only covers spinal adjustments for active treatment (not exams, x-rays, or wellness care), and all claims must go directly through Medicare. Because of these regulations, we’re unable to provide superbills or see patients who plan to submit chiropractic services to Medicare.
